Finally!

After more than a month of waiting and more phone calls than I can remember we have finally been placed with a new case manager!  She was assigned us yesterday and came out to the house today!  She will be in contact with the munchkins therapists and hopefully we can get the balls rolling around here.   Hopefully I will have more positive updates soon!  Thanks for reading, J.

Why doesn't anyone answer their phones anymore?

Well things have been going pretty well lately.  The kids had their therapy intakes and have started that process but CPS still has not given us a case manager!  It is super frustrating because we cant start the actual therapy until we get a case manager to sign off on it.  So 500 phone calls later (that all went to voicemail) I still have not heard from the supervisor or our new case manager.  Meanwhile middle monster is getting less depressed but acquiring some weird habits.  For the past week he insists on sleeping in his clothes.  We did get him to take the shoes off though but that is it.   He also has been keeping all his treasures in his backpack.  Ready to go at a moments notice.  SAD...  I wish he could believe me that he isn't going anywhere.  We are a family that likes to sing so I have started to sing the chorus to the lumineers song "hey ho" to him.  He likes it and sometimes he sings along.
" I belong with you, you belong with me you're my sweetheart"

We haven't seen his mother in 2 months now.  In some ways it is good but in others its bad.  They had no warning of their separation so there wasn't really a good bye, you know.  Its just she was there one day and now we don't see her anymore.  I tried to explain it to him but I don't think he understands.  He is mad at her and that makes him lash out at other women, mostly me.   At least he is getting closer to my husband.

The tiny titan is doing so great!  She learned how to walk and now stumbles around the house like a little drunken sailor.  She also loves to dance!  She will bust a move to pretty much any music she hears.  She likes it all country, rock, oldies, kids songs...  What would I do without my Lee?

Then there is Micah.  He finished soccer, is wrapping up karate, and getting ready to start football! He made the transition to his new school pretty well.  He already got into some trouble with his teacher but I wasn't mad.  He was telling the truth, even if his timing wasn't the bessssst.  His teacher brought a friend to class and while the teacher was teaching the friend started eating food.  Well, Micah just couldn't take it anymore, so he stood up in his desk and said to the friend "you know, its RUDE to eat in front of a bunch of hungry kids!"   I did not yell at him at all for this.  I did, however, explain to him that it is rude to call others out on their rudeness in front of other people.
Micah the honest strikes again!

Well that is all for today I hope you enjoyed reading and I will try to update more frequently than I have in the previous months.
